The Victorian era at Arnos Vale saw a flowering of different monument styles, representing the pinnacle of the stone mason's and sculptor's art.

This tour visits some of the cemetery's finest old and new memorials, looking at their context in the landscape and some of the secret language of the symbols on them.

The Friends of Arnos Vale Cemetery have produced a book drawn from many years of research by a number of volunteers committed to the preservation and restoration of Arnos Vale Cemetery.  This book is the story of the long and chequered history of one of Bristol's hidden and nearly lost treasures and compliments the Arnos Vale Cemetery Guidebook.
