Sold to a new home! The Bristol Zoo Wow! Gorillas auction took place on the 29th September 2011 at the Victoria Rooms in Clifton with the zoo expecting to raise over £100K during the auction.
Picture taken by Robert Daw The auction turned out to be really successful for both the number of participants eager to bid and the outstanding amount of £427,300 was actually raised! The Bristol Blue Glass Gorilla - Blackbeard Silverback - was highly sought after and raised a staggering £10,000. The picture shown above was taken by Robert Daw who attended the auction on the night.
