Arnos Vale is a haven for wildlife and is a site of special conservation interest with the ancient trees and habitats. Having more than 375 species of invertebrates on site Janine Marriott, Arnos Vale's Learning Coordinator, held a Minibeast Family Workshop during the half term holiday that the whole family could take part in. The children and their parents had fun exploring the unique habitat and searched through the woodlands for all sorts of creepy crawlies followed by a workshop making their own minibeast manor to take home with them and encourage wildlife into their own gardens. If you missed this Family Workshop then Janine will be holding another one soon. Keep coming back to the website to find out more details on when they will be taking place. At only £7 per family this all inclusive ticket price is for two adults and up to three children with all materials for the minibeast manor being supplied. Why not join us for the Insect Walk on Saturday 4th June with Insect Expert Ray Barnett? You will learn about how they survive and what role they play in keeping our environment healthy.
