Cremulator Restored A grant from the Association of Independent Museums means that Arnos Vale’s original cremulator – a bone crusher – can now be seen in restored condition in the newly-refurbished Spielman Centre. The cremulator was an essential item of equipment in the 1920s when Arnos Vale became the first South West cemetery to operate a crematorium. It now forms part of a basement display about the workings of the cemetery, alongside a renovated furnace and coffin lift.
