Special Educational Needs and Access Provision Arnos Vale is a listed landscape with listed buildings so unfortunately it is not always possible to make the whole site accessible to all. The Spielman Centre is fully accessible to wheelchair users and many of the paths are also accessible. There is a loop system installed in all the buildings and any taught material can be provide in advance to aid preparation. We can also provide large print copies, magnifying glasses and other support materials upon request. Please ask for advice on the suitability of different activities and exhibitions for a range of learners. Assistance dogs are welcome on site and in the buildings.
Lunch The Education space can be reserved when booking a tour or workshop. The cemetery is 45 acres and has several places that are suitable for lunch areas. These are marked on the map.

In the event of a fire alarm, please leave the building by the nearest exit and assemble in the nearest Garden of Rest. It is advisable for lead teachers to undertake a preparatory visit to see the site and complete a risk assessment. A generic risk assessment is supplied but we advise teachers to complete their own.
Please ensure your pupils wear sensible shoes (no slip on shoes or heels) and cover their legs, as this is mainly an outdoor environment. During the summer we also advise the use of sun cream and hats. Please ensure you brief all adults accompanying the visit.
