Thanks to sponsorship by the Greater Brislington Neighbourhood Partnership Wellbeing Fund Arnos Vale Cemetery will be holding several FREE events for anyone living in the Brislington, Broomhill or St Annes area of Bristol.

Booking in advance is essential for all the events below as places are limited.  As Arnos Vale is an outdoor site, to ensure you and your family have a safe and enjoyable experience please come dressed for all weathers.

 

FREE EVENTS FOR CHILDREN

 

Story Telling at Arnos Vale

story-treeOnce upon a time.... there was an experienced Story Teller named Martin, who had a special gift for telling wild tales and fun stories.  He discovered Arnos Vale on his travels and is now bursting to share his stories with all the children living in the land of Brislington, Broomhill and St Annes......"

Explore the woods and secret places of Arnos Vale with fantastic story teller Martin Maudsley.  Martin is an experienced and popular story teller with a gift for storytelling using nature.  He will take you on a magical journey using the wonderful trees, plants and landscape. Two choices of Story Telling adventures are available:

 

 

Wild Stories

Hear fun stories and tall tree tales!

These sessions are suitable for younger children (recommended for ages 5+) but all are welcome. Wild Stories will be held on the following dates:

Saturday 11th February 10:00am-10:45am
Thursday 16th February             2:00pm-2:45pm

 

Wild Story Makers

Create a story from scratch on a story telling adventure

These sessions are suitable for older children (recommended for ages 8+) but all are welcome.  Wild Story Makers will be held on the following dates:

Saturday 11th February            11:00am-12:00noon
Thursday 16th February 3:00pm-4:00pm
Tursday 23rd February 3:45pm-5:00pm

 

FREE EVENTS FOR FAMILIES

Exciting opportunity to make a nest  box as a family FOR FREE!

Come along to one of the sessions to make your very own nest box, ready to put in your garden or local area for Spring.

The session is led by expert Dick Berry who will guide you on how to make your nest box and where the best place will be to hang it.

*only one nestbox per household.
