Launch Date: 5th July Closing Date for Competition: 26th July Results of Competition announced: 30th July This month is full of Gorillas. The gorilla at Arnos Vale is lonely and needs a friend. How can you help? We've got a Gorilla, but it needs a friend. Take part in the Gorilla Colouring Competition to win a prize! Designed for children - our Gorilla Colouring Competition to design a colourful gorilla-friend. Templates are available in the Spielman Centre cafe or by downloading the pdf below. Please ensure that you enter the childs name and contact details on the reverse of the paper so that we can contact you if you win! Closing date for all entries is 26th July with the competition winner being announced on 30th July at our Gurrillustrations event with Simon Gurr. There are three age categories for the colouring competition; 5 and under, 6-11 and teens. The prizes will be presented by illustrator Simon Gurr on the 30th July. Entries will be displayed in the Spielman Centre during July and August.
Other Gorilla Events in July: Tuesday 5th July - Wow! A Gorilla at Arnos Vale. A life-size beautifully-artworked gorilla, sponsored by Bristol Blue Glass, moves to its new home outside the Spielman Centre today! Saturday 23rd July - Moth Watch Guided Tour. An amazing opportunity to meet Arnos Vale's secret creatures of the night, including a torch-lit tour, moth hunt and a night time visit to the Gorilla. Tuesday 26th July - Arnos Vale Animals. Family friendly guided tour. Get your family buzzing with this animal-themed activity walk. Bring a packed lunch and join the picnic afterwards. Tuesday 26th July - Teddy Bears Picnic. Take afternoon tea with our Gorilla in a special picnic on the Spielman Centre terrace. Saturday 30th July - Gurrillustration. Art session for all the family with professional artis, Simon Gurr. |
