Draw from nature and make your mark with hints and tips from a professional illustrator.

Get the chance to watch Simon Gurr draw live and then have a go at your own wild drawing. Join in on a unique piece of giant art and get hints and tips on improving your drawing. Kids will have a chance to create their own art in beautiful Arnos Vale with a professional artist.

 

conkerSimon Gurr is best known for the three historical comic books; Brunel: A Graphic Biography, The Bristol Story and Darwin: A Graphic Biography he created with author Eugene Byrne.

He is the illustrator responsible for the beautiful natural art that features in both Arnos Vales Guidebook and trails.

There are 3 sessions available:  Two morning sessions for families to get arty together.  These sessions are from 10:00am-11:00am and 11:00am-12:00noon (booking in advance is strongly recommended).  A third session is available just for teens and young adults aged 12+

Teens and young adults to not need to be accompanied by a parent but anyone under the age of 16 years must supply contact details for a responsible adult. 

 

As part of your visit come and find our Gorilla. As part of the 175th anniversary of Bristol Zoo, Gorillas are being placed around Bristol and Arnos Vale is home to one. Our Gorilla is kindly sponsored by Bristol Blue Glass and will be hiding somewhere in Arnos Vale.

How to Book:

Family Tickets are £7 - to include two adults and up to three children.

There are two family sessions available: 10:00am-11:00am or 11:00am-12:00noon. Please indicate on the Paypal link which session you would like to attend.

Young Adult Ticket is £5 per person. The only session available is 1:00pm-2:30pm.

You can purchase your tickets via secure on-line payment by following the Paypal link below.

Alternatively please visit the Box Office Reception located in the Gift Shop of the East Lodge building. This building is located to the left of the cemetery from the main Bath Road entrance. Reception is open from Monday - Saturday 10:00-4:00pm.

You can also send a cheque, made payable to Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust to the following address and your tickets will be posted out to you. Please add the £1.00 P&P to the total amount if you prefer to purchase your tickets this way. Please send to Arnos Vale Cemetery, West Lodge, Bath Road, BS4 3EW.
