The BIG Debate - Heritage V Wildlife

bee-white-flowersSaturday 18th June

6:15pm- 8:30pm

This is an opportunity to wander around Arnos Vale Cemetery, exploring the wildlife and heritage and all the site has to offer as well as enjoying a complimentary glass of wine (or soft drink) before joining us at 7.30pm for a light-hearted "clash of the titans" as Ecologist Mike Dilger and Archaeologist Mark Horton argue the cases for wildlife and heritage in Arnos Vale and Bristol, the value of these today, and their place in our future. Enjoy the debate and cast your vote at the end!

Taking Arnos Vale Cemetery as their starting point for discussion, both speakers will have 15-20 minutes to present the "case" for their cause; followed by a no-holds-barred session of responses.

Chaired by Darren Hall of Bristol Green Capital, the Big Debate closes with an open Q&A session with the audience, some concluding remarks and an audience vote!

Arnos Vale is a historic landscape, wildlife haven, heritage site, place of remembrance and a keen supporter of the city's heritage and wildlife. Where better then to celebrate the roles of heritage and wildlife in our lives and settle once and for all the ongoing debate on their pecking order?
