There will be some fundraising stalls where you can purchase a wide range of items.  All funds raised on the day from the Friends tables will go to the Friends Pledges Fund for the cemetery.  The current project they are fundraising for is the restoration of the Garden of Rest No 1 Memorial Arch which has sadly deteriorated badly over the last few winters and is in much need of some TLC.

The Friends of Arnos Vale Cemetery support the Trust by fundraising, carrying out regular estate maintenance under the guidance of Estate Manager Nick Bull, provide guides for the Guided Tours that run regularly throughout the year and also volunteer on reception in our Visitor Centre.

The Gift Shop, located in the East Lodge building to the left of the cemetery off the Bath Road entrance will be open from 9:30-4:30 on this date.  The Gift Shop has some unique and unusual items for sale for every occasion and every budget.  You can purchase our amazing plantable gift cards (they grow into herbs or flowers once planted),  wildlife items such as bird feeders- insect habitats - bat boxes etc, finger puppets, Art from local artists, Bristol Blue Glass, aromatherapy candles, sweets, books, childrens items, Self Guided Tour Leaflets, Guide Book and much more.

wildlife-gardening-butterflStuck for Mothers Day gift ideas?  As an unusual gift why not buy your Mum a ticket to come to our "Wildlife Gardening For Beginners Workshop" also running on the 2nd April?  Expertly led by our Estate Manager Nick Bull and Learning Coordinator Janine Marriott, you will learn how to encourage local wildlife into your garden.  The workshop begins with a short tour of the site explaining what makes Arnos Vale wildlife friendly.  You will get hints and tips on how to improve your existing wildlife habitat or how to start one from scratch.  For more information visit our Event Page.

Friends of Arnos Vale would like to thank Funeral-Care Bristol for their sponsorship to cover various costs for the event.
