Two Sessions available: 10:00-11:00 or 11:30-12:30 Is your child ‘critter crazy’, do they love bugs, slugs and creepy crawlies? Help them learn about the wonderful wildlife in their back garden whilst having fun and exploring a truly unique local habitat . Take your Minibeasts for a mini adventure. Discover and identify some of our 300 invertebrates in our fantastic woodland with our own Minibeast Hunter Janine Marriott, then have a go at making a Minibeast Manor to take home to encourage local wildlife into your garden. Arnos Vale is a listed landscape with a huge variety of wildlife to discover and explore. It is a site of special conservation interest and the ancient trees and wonderful habitats make it a fantastic place to explore and learn from. This family activity has a ticket price of only £7 per family (two adults and up to three children). You will go on a Minibeast Hunt with our wildlife spotter Janine Marriott which will include a fascinating walk around the site learning about habitats and hiding places of our fantastic wildlife. A range of Explorers Equipment will be available including magnifying glasses, capture pots and nets and children will be able to identify the wide range of invertebrates that make their home here at Arnos Vale, learning about respecting nature and how to discover more about the place they live. At the conclusion of the walk families will build a biodegradeable Minibeast Manor to take home to encourage local Minibeasts into their own gardens. Strong waterproof clothing is recommended and footwear suitable for an outdoor walk.
