Raja Rammohun Roy Annual service 27th September 2009

The tomb of the Rajah Rammohun Roy has an annual service of Commemoration for the Rajah on the nearest Sunday to his day of death- 27th Sept. (1833).This service , which is organised by one of the Trustees of the cemetery, is a joint Brahmo Samaj- Unitarian commemoration, since the Rajah called himself a Hindu-Unitarian. Large numbers of British Indians , Bengalis, Unitarians,The Indian High Commission, Trustees, Friends and Bristol`s Lord Mayor attend an open air service held before the Grade2* tomb.
