Spring Insects Tour
Love creepy crawlies?
Explore Arnos Vale in search of May bugs and creepy crawlies led by insect-expert Ray Barnett.
Arnos Vale is a 45 acre urban green space full to bursting with wildlife in a range of habitats. At this time of year, we will search for insects associated with May blossom (Hawthorn), an important nectar source for many beetles and flies, along with other plants that bloom this month. We'll use simple means of discovering the sort of insects and other creatures which live in this wildlife refuge and learn how they survive and what role they play in keeping our environment healthy. Who knows what we'll discover on the day!
Warm clothing and sensible shoes are strongly recommended. Arnos Vale is not a fully accessible site. This tour may involve some steep slopes, steps and muddy or uneven paths. For more information on visiting Arnos Vale Safely please click here.
